Snap-action switch S814 – Microswitch for a stack assembly

Changeover contact with a contact bridge, self-cleaning mechanism and pass-through actuating plunger

S814 b Snap-action switch with pass-through actuating plunger and connections on the side

The snap-action switch S814 is a diverse microswitch for medium and low power ranges. The feature is the plunger, which moves through the housing from the top downwards when actuated. This means two S814s can be mounted on top of each other in order to trigger two switching processes with one actuation. The S814 snap-action switch has self-cleaning contacts.

Features

Changeover contact with a contact bridge.

Microswitch with a contact bridge which is guided by a plunger. When this snap-action switch is actuated, the bottom contact pair is opened (connections 1 and 2) and the top one is closed (connections 3 and 4).

Self-cleaning contacts

In every switching process, the contact bridges rub in a defined fashion on the V-shaped fixed contacts and remove corrosion and combustion residue. Permanently low contact resistances ensure a high level of contact reliability throughout the service life.

Reliable switching of low currents

With self-cleaning silver contacts, small currents can be connected reliably and frequently. In chemically aggressive environments and with low switching frequencies, we recommend gold contacts.

Dimensions 36 x H x 22 mm (L x H x W)

This is the maximum dimensions of the housing. The dimensions of the actuator and of the connections must be added. For all dimensions and drawings please refer to the following product catalogue:
