This multi-pole AC or DC contactor of up to 800 V can switch and carry currents up to 30 A. Different combinations are possible for the 4 main contact pairs: 4 NO, 3 NO/1 NC or 2 NO/2 NC. Optionally, 1 to 4 auxiliary contacts can be pushed on (NC/NO contacts) which report the switch state of the main contacts to different systems.
As a DC contactor, the CS assumes control tasks in battery networks. The AC version can also switch AC voltages. Typical applications are the switching on and off of devices or subsystems, the mutual locking of switch circuits or the activation of power contactors. In a voltage range of up to 800 V DC, it can also function as a pre-charging contactor or discharge contactor.
During switch off, an electric arc is ignited between the opening contacts. The current flows on through the ionised air. Permanent magnets drive the ionised air out of the contact zone into the arcing chamber. Here, the electric arc is extended and cooled until it goes out.
In this contactor, the permanent-magnetic blowout works for all four contact pairs. Depending on the voltage range, the shutdown power is significantly higher than the thermal continuous load.
The main contacts of the CS115/10 are available in the following configurations:
Optionally, one to four auxiliary switches can be pushed on (NO/NC) which report the switch state of the main contacts to different systems. Using the auxiliary switches, locks or safety circuits can be made, for example.
