Distribution Account Manager - EMEA (m/f/d)

Working with us:

As part of our European Sales Team, you'll lead in implementing Distributor business plans, work alongside our partners to secure and convert new design funnels and maintain established business in Rail and New Industry. You will act as the lead point of contact for the Distribution accounts within your territory and manage your business with the help of other internal stakeholders. Your contributions are crucial for successful relationships and the overall success of our distribution network.

Inspiring – Your Responsibilities:

  • Engaging in the sale of Schaltbau products through Distribution partners in assigned territory.
  • Communicating with distributors and potential customers, providing them with first line tech-nical and administrative details about products
  • Forecasting & Attaining Booking & POS targets on a country or territory level
  • Documentation and communication of the Distributor & Schaltbau annual business plan.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for all Schaltbau products, ensuring a cohesive and seamless interaction with distributors
  • Growing / Enhancing Schaltbau portfolio market share
  • Supervising the implementation of distributor corporate plans at branch level where appropri-ate
  • Setting priorities based on market significance.
  • Aligning local business plans and the objectives / priorities with the distributor Sales Manag-ers and other key Stakeholders.
  • Executing Competitive Analysis: Competitors' go-to-market strategies and resources
  • Regularly checking the distributor opportunity pipeline through regular and systematic follow-ups on quotations with Distributors and Schaltbau Sales Teams.
  • Managing distributor-related business processes, including Marketing schedules.
  • Managing the retention and growth of any TAM to DTAM accounts ( in the event of any busi-ness transfer )
  • Coordinating training plans across the entire Schaltbau product range.
  • Serving as the local point of contact for all Schaltbau subsidiary sales teams to ensure con-sistent execution of end customer/product plans and initiatives
  • Supervising the Design Registration Program and the overall Distributor opportunity pipeline
  • Gaining insight into the distributor's strategic plan to facilitate better alignment with key SB ini-tiatives
  • Overseeing commercial process in terms of order placement, inventory investment and project pricing etc.
  • Align senior leadership on goals and requirements to be successful with Distributors.

Convincing – Your Profile:

  • For this role we are looking for an Account Manager with >5 years professional experience as Ac-count Manager, Field Sales and/or Senior Internal Sales.
  • Strong focus on organizing Sales Initiatives and targeted product programs with the Distribution partners and building relationships.
  • Ability to Structure and set priorities and drive business objectives
  • Articulate expectations, targets, and milestones (internal and with the customer)
  • Skilled at developing strategies and holding teams (internal and external) accountable to execution
  • Ability to prioritize the right Distributors to accelerate success in form of territory revenue.
  • Create scale through co-marketing with Distributors
  • Generate excitement about working with Schaltbau by running product discovery sessions & webi-nars
  • Ability to communicate and influence resources (internal and external) is the key to success
  • Capability of interfacing with Country Sales Managers, Order Processing, Application Engineering, Product Management, Marketing and Senior Management.
  • Proficiency in both English and German languages of benefit, demonstrated through exceptional written and spoken communication abilities
  • Proven 5-10 years of experience in sales Account management is a benefit
  • Familiarity with electronics components and knowledge of New Energy industry or Rail.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and effective communication skills, with the capacity to deliver formal presentations to senior personnel
  • Essential proficiency in negotiation, extending to interactions with executives at all tiers of an or-ganization
  • Self-motivated individual capable of assessing market requirements and achieving notable out-comes throughout the sales processes
  • Inherent ability to cultivate robust professional relationships and foster collaboration across multi-ple functions, including Country Sales Managers, Technical Application engineers, Product Man-agement, and Marketing
  • Exhibit strong results-orientation and execution characteristics
  • Strong work ethic - willingness to roll up the sleeves and do the work as part of a team
  • Notable organizational and planning skills, indicative of effective task management
  • Fluent English, German of benefit
  • Expected Travel up to 70% in Eastern/ and or Western Europe
