Schaltbau Privacy Policy

Thank you for your interest and visit to our website www.schaltbau-gmbh.com. Protection of your private data is important to us.
We would therefore like to inform you below how we process your personal data. The website www.schaltbau-gmbh.com is operated by the company Schaltbau GmbH.

For our applicants as well as our potential and existing business partners and their employees, we have special data protection information available at the following link:
Data Protection externals

Personal data (sometimes also called person-related data) is data that fundamentally makes it possible to identify your person. It is not important whether it is possible to do so on the basis of a single item of information; this will rarely be the case. However, the more information and data are amalgamated, the more precisely the person can be identified. Personal data comprises particularly the name, address, age, e-mail address and telephone number of a person.

Collection, processing and storage of personal data by Schaltbau GmbH

Schaltbau GmbH only collects, processes and stores your personal data if this is permitted by statutory provisions or you have consented to this.
We receive this data in two ways: either you have informed us of the data or we collect it when you use our services.

Data you inform us of

You can usually use our website without giving us personal information directly. For some services we will ask you for personal information to make the respective service quick and user-friendly or so as to be able to offer the service in the first place. You can find detailed information on all services offered to visitors to this website in this privacy statement.

Data we receive through your use of our services

Some data already arises automatically and for technical reasons when you visit our website. This data is stored temporarily in a so-called log file. The following information is collected in this file without any action on your part and stored until automated deletion:

  • the IP address of the computer from which the inquiry comes
  • date and time of access
  • name and URL of the accessed file
  • website from which access came (referrer URL)
  • browser used and possibly your computer’s operating system and the name of your internet services provider

We use the data named above for the following purposes:

  • to ensure a smooth connection build-up of the website,
  • to ensure easy use of our website,
  • to analyse system security and stability, and
  • for further administrative purposes

The legal basis for processing of this data is Art. 6(1)(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our legitimate interest stems from the purposes for data collection as listed above. Under no circumstances do we use the data we have collected to draw conclusions about your person.
In addition to this, we also use cookies and analytical services when you visit our website. For further information in this regard, please see points 2 and 3 of this privacy statement.

Disclosure of data

We never pass your data on to third parties. We have also implemented appropriate measures and carry out checks regularly to ensure that the data we have collected cannot be viewed or intercepted by third parties from outside.

Data transfer to a third country or an international organisation

If suitable guarantees to establish an adequate level of data protection are applied, it is permissible to transfer data to recipients in states outside the European Union (so-called third countries).
Your data is not transferred to a third country or an international organisation.

Use of cookies

Definition

We use cookies on our site. Cookies are small files created automatically by your browser and stored on your terminal (laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) when you visit our site. Cookies do not cause any damage to your terminal and do not contain viruses, Trojans or other malware.

Information arising in connection with the specific terminal used is placed in the cookie. This, however, does not mean that we obtain direct knowledge of your identity as a result.

Cookies are used on the one hand to help us make use of our website more pleasant for you. For example, we use so-called session cookies to identify that you have already visited certain pages of our website. They are deleted automatically when you leave our website.

We also use temporary cookies that are stored on your terminal for a certain fixed time, again to optimise ease of use. If you visit our website again to make use of our services, it is automatically recognised that you have already visited us and which entries and settings you made so that you do not have to enter them again.

On the other hand we use cookies to collect statistical data on use of our website and to analyse it to optimise our offer for you (see point 5). These cookies make it possible for us to see automatically that you have already visited when you visit our website again. These cookies are deleted automatically after a respective defined time.

The data processed by cookies is necessary for the named purposes of protecting our legitimate interests and those of third parties according to Art. 6(1)(1)(f) GDPR.

You have the possibility in your browser to view the cookies on your computer, to delete cookies or configure the settings so that all or no more cookies at all are stored. Please note that some functions (e.g. login) do not work or do not work correctly when you disable the setting of cookies.

Use at Schaltbau GmbH

Schaltbau GmbH mostly uses session cookies on its website, which lose their validity when you close your browser.

Use of advertising analytics tools

The tracking measures listed below and used by us are implemented on the basis of Art. 6(1)(1)(f) GDPR. We use the tracking measures to ensure a needs-based design and continuous optimisation of our website. We also use the tracking measures to collect statistical data on use of our website and to analyse it to optimise our offer for you. These interests are to be seen as legitimate in the sense of the aforementioned regulation.

The respective data processing purposes and data categories are to be found in the description of the particular tracking tool.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (https://www.google.com/intl/en-GB/about/) (Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Irland; hereinafter “Google”) to ensure needs-based design and continuous optimisation of our website. Pseudonymised usage profiles are created and cookies used in this connection. The information generated by the cookie on your use of this website such as

  • browser type/version,
  • operating system used,
  • referrer URL (the site you previously visited),
  • host name of the accessing computer (IP address),
  • time of the server request,

is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The information is used to evaluate usage of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage for the purposes of market research and needs-based design of these internet pages. This information is possibly also passed on to third parties if this is stipulated by law or third parties process this data on behalf of Google. Under no circumstances is your IP address associated with other data of Google. The IP addresses are anonymised so that association is not possible (IP masking).

You can prevent installation of the cookies through appropriate settings in your browser software; we would like to point out, however, that in this case it might not be possible to use all the functions of this website fully.
You can also prevent collection of the data created by the cookie relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) as well as processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing a browser add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en).

You can also prevent data collection by Google Analytics by clicking the following link. This sets an opt-out cookie that prevents future collection of your data when visiting this website. Disable Google Analytics

You can find further information on data protection in connection with Google Analytics in, for example, the Google Analytics Help (https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de).

Google Ads

We use “Google Ads” (formerly Google AdWords), a service provided by Google Ireland Limited (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland; “Google”) on our website. Google Ads allows us to use advertisements on external websites to draw attention to our attractive offers. This allows us to determine how successful individual advertising measures are. These advertisements are sent by Google via what are known as “AdServers”. Within this context, we use “AdServer cookies”, which can be used to measure certain parameters for measuring success, such as the displaying of ads or user clicks. If you access our website via a Google advertisement, Google Ads will store a cookie on your PC. These cookies generally become invalid after a period of 30 days. They are not designed to allow you to be identified personally. The following information is generally stored as analysis values for this cookie: Unique cookie ID, number of ad impressions per placement (frequency), last impression (relevant for post-view conversions), opt-out information (marking the fact that the user no longer wants to be targeted). These cookies allow Google to recognise your web browser. If a user visits certain pages on a Google Ads customer’s website and the cookie stored on their computer has not yet expired, Google and the customer can see that the user clicked on the ad and was directed to the page in question. Each Google Ads customer is assigned a different cookie. This means that cookies cannot be tracked via the websites of Google Ads customers. We ourselves do not collect or process any personal data in connection with the advertising measures referred to above. We only receive statistical evaluations from Google. These evaluations allow us to identify which of the advertising measures used are particularly effective. We do not receive any further data resulting from the use of the advertisements. In particular, we cannot identify the users on the basis of this information. Due to the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection with the Google server. We have no control over the scope and further use of the data collected due to the use of Google Ads by Google. To the best of our knowledge, Google is informed that you have accessed the relevant part of our website or clicked on one of our advertisements. If you have a Google user account and are registered, Google can assign the visit to your user account. Even if you are not registered with Google/have not logged in, it is possible that Google will still be able to identify and store your IP address.
We use Google Ads for marketing and optimisation purposes, in particular to place advertisements that are relevant and of interest to you, to improve campaign performance reports and to ensure that advertising costs are calculated fairly. These purposes also represent our legitimate interest in having the aforementioned data processed by the third party provider. The legal basis is Article 6(1) sentence 1f GDPR.
You can stop cookies from being installed by deleting existing cookies and deactivating the storage of cookies in the settings of your web browser. We would like to remind you that if you do so, you may not be able to use all of the functions of our website in full. You can also stop cookies from being saved by setting your web browser to block cookies from the domain “www.googleadservices.com” (https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated?hl=en). Please note that this setting will be deleted if you delete your cookies. You can also deactivate interest-based advertisements via the link http://www.aboutads.info/choices. Please note that this setting will also be deleted if you delete your cookies.
In addition, Google has acceded to, and obtained certification under, the Privacy Shield agreement between the European Union and the US. By doing so, Google undertakes to comply with the standards and provisions of European data protection law. You can find further information in this article: https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active
Information on the third-party provider: Google Dublin, Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, Fax: +353 (1) 436 1001.
Further information on the use of data by Google, on the various options for configuring settings and objecting, and on data privacy can be found on the following Google websites:

Google Tag Manager

This website uses Google Tag Manager. Google Tag Manager makes it possible to manage website tags via an interface. The Tag Manager tool, which implements the tags, is itself a cookieless domain and does not collect any personal data. The tool triggers other tags, which could collect data. Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If deactivated at domain or cookie level, this deactivation remains intact for all tracking tags implemented with Google Tag Manager.

Use of social media plugins

We also offer you extensive personal support and the possibility to stay in touch with us via our pages on the social media portal YouTube on the basis of Art. 6(1)(1)(f) GDPR. YouTube is operated by YouTube LLC with its head office located at 901 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. YouTube is represented by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Irland.

YouTube itself collects personal data, e.g. through your profile there or via so-called social plugins that are implemented in the web pages of third parties.

When you call up a web page on our internet site containing such a plugin, your browser connects directly to the YouTube server. The content of the plugins is sent directly to your browser by it and integrated in the web page. We therefore have no influence on the scope of the data that YouTube collects with the help of these plugins. We would therefore like to inform you about the situation as far as we know it:

Through integration of the plugins, YouTube is informed that you have called up the corresponding page on our website. If you are logged into YouTube, it can associate the visit with your account there. If you interact with the plugins, the corresponding information is sent directly to YouTube by your browser and stored there. If you do not have an account at YouTube, it is nevertheless still possible that they can find out your IP address and store it.
It therefore cannot be ruled out that every visitor to our website is registered by YouTube on the basis of their IP address and the URL they called up, even if they do not click the plugins and even if they do not have a user account at the company.
For the purpose and scope of this data collection and further processing and use of the data by YouTube, as well as your rights and setting possibilities to protect your privacy in this regard, please see the privacy policy of:
