With the compact contactors of the CL series, we offer an economic and environmentally friendly solution for the switching of DC and AC currents in the medium power range. The single-pole, double-pole or triple-pole designs ensure low-wear and reliable switching of voltages of up to 2,200 A; they carry a conventional thermal current of up to 250 A.
CL contactors have a compact design with geometrically optimised electric arc chambers. The contactors are maintenance-free for normal switching requirements.
CL series contactors supplement our power contactors of the CT range in many applications. Used as pre-charging contactors, the devices are ideally suitable for switching tasks in the middle power range.
Contactors of the CL series work as a main contactor for auxiliary converters, electrical heating circuits and starter or compressor motors, as well as for switching field circuits of motors.
The switch state of the main contacts can be indicated through two snap-action switches of the S870 series. The S870s are compact changeover contacts with positive opening operation and self-cleaning contacts.
Based on its approval for rail applications (EN 60077, EN 50124-1 and EN 61373), the CL contactor can also be used in extreme temperatures.
