A bidirectional DC contactor with improved performance and reduced total cost of ownership? Schaltbau presents the latest version of the Eddicy C303 DC contactor, which can now handle continuous currents up to 500 A.

The contactors are designed to offer lower total cost of ownership (TCO) with energy cost savings of up to 25% through improved efficiency and longevity. Features such as ultra-low contact resistance minimize power loss and heat generation, while robust design elements extend service life and reduce the frequency of replacement and associated downtime.

The C303 bidirectional DC contactors are compact high-performance switching devices with high inrush and short-time currents up to 5,000 amperes or large capacities for applications such as battery storage, charging stations or test benches.

The switching devices are available with 3 coil controls:
  • Ecosave: With energy-saving PWM module for optimum power consumption when switching and low heating when holding
  • High Efficiency Drive (HED): Without economy circuit for maximum drive efficiency
  • Pre-charging contactor: For limiting high inrush currents and protecting main contactors

The new C303 meets stringent global safety and performance standards with its UL certification as well as CE and UKCA certification.
